This year 2026 it is to build a brick home for a family of 26 artisans who create household items out of recycling metal, in Purulia district, West Bengal.

Shital Pati- a weaving technique has been awarded an UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010. A small community of green cane weavers lead by Soma & Sanjit Dutta work daily to create household items. We are determined to uplift people in poverty by collaborating with these artisans in the village Ghughumari, West Bengal and preserve the art form of Shital pati with the selected family.
